The other new and exciting thing about sewing jeans is you can customise your jeans with choice of topstitching thread (I generally opt for upholstery thread as it seems to tangle less, but is still as strong) and hardware (buttons, rivets and zips). Plus, once you get into the rhythm, topstitching is one of the most pleasing techniques in sewing! They can be dressed up or dressed down and are incredibly hard-wearing.
